Nestled within the award winning Westlands Country Park in 100 acres of tranquil woodland in the beautiful county of Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland.

Relax in our stunning lakeside lodge with beautiful views over the lake to the countryside beyond and unwind in the hot tub after a fun packed day of hiking, cycling, fishing or shooting.

Sleeping 6, the lodge is spacious and beautifully presented with wrap around decking taking full advantage of the views.

The space
With 100 acres of woodland to explore, the lodge offers something for everyone!

Located in Dumfries & Galloway, one of the most beautiful regions of Scotland, the lodge is part of the Westlands Country Park and sits peacefully on the banks of one it’s fishing lakes.

The lodge itself is beautifully presented, spacious, light and bright with stunning outdoor areas to soak up the views and a relaxing hot tub to unwind after a fun filled day of activities.

The open plan sitting, dining and kitchen is ideal for sociable meal times, the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for meal preparation with modern appliances making cooking is a breeze!

During summer months, relax in the sitting area as a welcome breeze drifts through the beautiful double doors that look out towards the lake, enjoy a morning coffee. evening glass of wine or mid day glass of champagne on the decking.

During the cooler months the lodge is cosy, welcoming and the perfect retreat for a relaxing evening in front of the TV after a busy day, with plenty of room for family games night too!

The master (double) bedroom is tastefully presented with it’s own luxurious en-suite shower room, storage space and double French doors.

The twin bedroom has 2 smaller wardrobes and all beds within the lodge are fitted with ‘hotel’ standard 300 thread count pure cotton linen for that extra touch of luxury!
The main shower room is located next to the twin bedroom, is beautifully decorated with good size shower enclosure, vanity unit and heated towel rail.

For guests 5 & 6 there is a comfortable pull out double sofa bed in the sitting area.

For fishing enthusiasts, two of the three ponds are stocked with only the best local rainbow, blue and tiger trout up to 12lb in weight for fly fishing. Fishing is available either on catch and release basis or you can opt to keep a few to cook at home. Guests who are experienced shooters or those who would love to ‘give it a go’ will be thrilled with the onsite facilities on offer, the premier shooting ground comprises of up to 100 Promatic super sporter traps, throwing a large selection of targets.
The layouts include Scotland’s highest high tower with four simulation traps, down the line (DTL), Skeet layout, Compak, driven flush and twenty other sporting stands including a Rabbit pair.

All abilities are welcome, a dedicated team of instructors are trained to the highest standards are amongst the most experienced in the country. Instruction is offered for novice through to experienced game and clay shooters. Dumfries & Galloway is renowned for it’s cycling and hiking facilities and there are multiple sites both within the direct area and further afield.

We are delighted to welcome furry friends, a maximum of 2 (well behaved dogs) at an additional small charge of £30 to cover extra cleaning, however, please note, pets of a nervous disposition would not do well due to the noise of shooting in the distance.

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE:- If you are bringing pets, there is the noise of the shooting activities in the distance at various points during the day, pets of a nervous disposition (generally those that are afraid of fireworks, thunder etc) would not do well.

We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

I’m a born and bred ‘Doonhamer’ and have a lifelong passion for not only Scotland as a whole, but for my beautiful home region of Dumfries & Galloway. I have travelled the world, working at the very top end of customer service providing travel assistance to the world’s Royal families, diplomats, ministers and celebrities. I then joined the ‘luxury travel market’ project, managing private travel arrangements for both individual VIPs and multinational companies. The next natural step for me was to break into the short term let market, the experience and professionalism that Pass The Keys has to offer made it an easy and obvious choice to become a PTK franchisee.
